- Use blue acrylic to paint stripes around both legs of the peg doll. Fill the spaces in between, and the body, with bright pink paint. Leave to dry. (pic a)
- Paint the face pale pink and use a fine brush to add features. Paint the rest of the head yellow.
- Make the hair from yellow thread by winding it around your fingers and tying one side tightly with another length of thread before cutting the loops on the other side. Tie a knot in the end of the securing thread to make a hanging loop. Paint PVA glue over the yellow part of the head and fix the hair in place. (pic b)
- Take two 20cm lengths of gauzy ribbon and lay one over the other. Gather up one edge with running stitch and pull tight to make a skirt. Wrap around the body and sew together at the back. (pics c & d)
- Use a length of thin ribbon to tie the wings from the kit to the back of the fairy. Add a necklace and tiara using a silver glitter pen.
